This is a killer list. OP, this guy is steering you in the right direction. I'm also a huge fan of Bjork and Homogenic is a fantastic place to start, as suggested. I'd also suggest checking out Beck. Nigel Godrich produced Mutations, Sea Change, and the Information.

So you can expect a similar dense and airy production quality but from a different songwriter. His other records are excellent as well, with Odelay being the breakout masterpiece. Pavement might interest you as well. They had a great run in the 90's and put out five awesome records. Jonny Greenwood made a guest appearance playing harmonica on a couple of songs on their final album. I'd suggest starting with Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain. A lot of Radiohead fans (including me) have been digging on Tame Impala.

Newer band with two great records. If you like Tame Impala, you might also like Temples. Wilco, especially around the Yankee Hotel Foxtrot era, have been called an 'American Radiohead.' YHF is an amazing record and they have a large catalog to dig through. If you like them, I'd also check out Loose Fur. They were a great side-project featuring Tweedy, Glenn Kotche and Jim O'Rourke.

Speaking of O'Rourke, there's Sonic Youth. HUGE and really diverse catalog. EVOL through Murray Street is critical listening. Tons of side project stuff too. Daydream Nation is where most people start. Radiohead's 'Permanent Daylight' has been described as a tribute to SY. Sabki Baratein Aayi Ringtone Download.

Grandaddy was a great band that doesn't get a ton of mentions. They were also kind of hailed as America's answer to Radiohead.

I'd suggest picking up The Sophtware Slump and Sumday. Supergrass was another great band. They toured with Radiohead at one point. Autumn Owls are a cool band out of Dublin. They share some of the same musical interests as you and they're making good music.

Check them out, they don't have a huge following yet. Wildhoney are another lesser known band. They're making fantastic shoegaze influenced stuff. They're from Baltimore and just have a couple of EPs out right now. Blonde Redhead have some influences from the shoegaze genre as well. Great catalog there. I'd maybe start with 23.

'Silently' off of that record is one of my favorites. Edit: Oh and Spoon! Spoon are a great band.

Ridiculously consistent catalog. Every album is good. Kill the Moonlight would be my rec for starting point. I've seen a couple of people suggesting Stereolab and I would back that up as well.

Stereolab are great. Edit 2: If you liked Loveless, it's definitely worth checking out their newest effort, m b v. Similar record cut from their signature sound but with a different feel.

Isn't Anything and all of the EPs are good listening as well. If you're into shoegaze, there are tons of great acts to check out. Ride, Slowdive, Chapterhouse, Spiritualized, the first Verve record.

The subreddit is a great resource with an active and devoted community. Iso Coated V2 280 ECIA. Not quite shoegaze but definitely riding the line is Methadrone by Brian Jonestown Massacre. It's such a good record, one of my all time favorites, and I'd absolutely suggest giving it a listen. On that record, they kind of mix their take on shoegaze with a psychedelic, Stones-y rock vibe. Plus, they have a ton of other great records to check out. Edit 3: I just walked by my records and saw Warpaint.

How could I forget Warpaint?! I love their new record and Nigel Godrich helped mix it. Definitely worth checking out. And since you mentioned liking the Beatles, I'd suggest checking out some other music from that era. The Beach Boys have some fantastic records with Pet Sounds being the standout.

I also love Bob Dylan, especially when he went electric. Bringing it all Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited, and Blonde on Blonde was about as good of a three album run as you can get. Planet Waves is another favorite. Can't go wrong with the Stones, the Who, or the Kinks. Garage and psychedelic stuff from that era is super good. Love's Forever Changes might be up your alley. Okay, final edit: If you like the older stuff but want something a bit more modern, you'll do no better than Wussy.

They've been hailed as the best band in America and with good reason. Incredible songwriters with a great sound that's at once familiar and new. Check out Left for Dead and their self-titled record. Buckeye is a great comp that covers their first few records and would be a good place to start as well.
