Don't want to bother to self-promote, I don't want to be some gimmick just because I'm deaf (as in profound hearing loss, as bad as it gets) but I'll just share some music since I've written so many songs it'd seem like a waste. I prefer to write songs (very loud, feeling vibrations) without hearing aids (not that they do much) because I feel it is probably closer to how most people listen than it is with an artificial product. Also I feel it's more of a visceral rather than intentional experience which I prefer to maximize subconscious expression. Fm 2005 Download Completos.
I've been fucking around with a song I wrote for a while now, I'll post it up once I master it. Hadn't recorded a song in about 2-3 years now, most of them suck since I was experimenting at that stage. So here's the first one I ever wrote about 3-4 years ago, more to the point early on: And me actually getting the balls to even attempt singing (my speech is semi-normal, that is an abnormal thing) at a cover: http://vocaroo.com/?media=vwdvkVjTKjMPJIHtX. I know a couple of these are long, but they're just tinkerings and first attempts so they're more for allowing us to hear the various layers of each song together. Next step is to trim them down: ) Anyways, here's some music me and a buddy have put together.
Skip through them to hear the different parts, I know asking for you to listen to the whole things may be a bit much. This one you can open up and leave on as you do something else, its good background music: ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sr8wyn9jilQ. My main interment is my voice, its been the thing that has kept me sane through some turbulent era's through the 26 years I've been alive. But, about 4 years ago I started to play the guitar.I'm not great at it.I'm ok'ish sorta.Yea, its more of a prop to hold onto when I do sing in public ie. At bars or cafe's etc.A security blanket if you will.It also is relaxing to play when things are stressful as a way to release the pent up emotion. Aww, fwiw, here is my little contribution: It's some of my earlier stuff I did on my PC, and quite different to a lot of stuff on here. Quite laid back and Floyd like. But then again, I am old and grew up with Floyd so that's my excuse:) I have a nice little studio here, and love collaborations, so pm me if anyone is interested.
I've just finished contributing guitar, drum and vocals on 8 tracks for someone the other side of the world, without ever seeing him. Ya gotta love the power of the Internet! I'm a bass player from Massachusetts, I play in a few bands currently.
My main band as of now is an old school death/grind outfit who go by the name FORCED ASPHYXIATION. Our myspace songs aren't that great, but our youtube material has a good quality sound to them. We just finished recording our first EP. I got youtube links posted below. Intro/Vomit Entrails: Blunt Force Trauma: Decrepit Earth: Postmortem Defilement: Robocrop: if you like what you hear, and would like to support us, please become a fan of us on Facebook, or add us on myspace (myspace.com/forcedasphyxiation). We're also trying to get on this year's Metalfest here in Massachusetts, simply go to www.metalandhardcorefestival.com and suggest Forced Asphyxiation to play this year's metalfest. It would be huge exposure for us, and would be awesome to have an old school band on the bill.
I have another band I have been working on which is a band I have written everything in. Its really influenced by Atheist, Watchtower, Megadeth and other technical thrash bands, EARGAZM.
There's one instrumental track up on myspace which you can check out here:. I hate for this to come off as spam, but I do plan on sticking around on this forum. Support local extreme music. Keep it fucking metal guys, and I hope you dig Forced Asphyxiation!
