A bit more forceful playing, like the band's first album, but like all of them, in the high caliber of musician-ship and quality. As the title to this review says, this was the last album this band would release in the 1970's together. 'Natural Elements' is the one that western ears is likely to find least 'foreign.' Yet, this in no way should be taken to mean that the musicians have compromised. What results is a infectious and almost-perfect blend of musics from different cultures (and musical notations, too).
Just try not to tap your feet to 'Get Down and Sruti!' This piece cooks along with vocals, tabla and guitar trading phrases in a dizzying display of musicians clearly delighted in what they are doing.
